  • Odd light around columns

    Hi guys

I am having a few issues with an animation I am working on. I am using lightcache for secondary bounces and am getting weird bright spots where you would expect to get shadows at the top of the columns where they meet the ceiling. I have attached a small crop from a frame which highlights the problem along side screengrabs of my settings. I have tried QMC instead which seems to sort it, but is ridiculously slow in comparison. Scene is lit with Vray lights.

I have tried various different LC settings with no luck, and was just wondering if I am missing something?

    Cheers

Colum was just a box extruded through all floors/ceilings. ceiling was an extruded spline....already thought that may caused the issue so i sliced up both objects where they intersect, still no joy...

I think it is just GI bounced from the columns onto the ceiling; you can probably try to reduce the Generate GI multiplier for the columns.
