problems with opening files

Hello everybody,

I have a problem with opening files in 3dstudio max especially with interiors scenes in the beginning there is no problem but after a while when placing my furniture in the model it will not open anymore it just sits there doing nothing! merging is no problem,can anybody help me with this problem?? (the file sizes are no more 20mb)

At my workplace where still working with max6 and where using V-ray Adv 1.5 rc3.

Provise,

Are you just placing models into scenes or are you XREFFING them in?

The reason it sits there doing nothing is because it could be running out of RAM opening the file. It is possible in most applications to create documents to big to open although working in them before saving can be fine.
