  • 2 questions to daylightsystem with vraysun...

    hi

i have simple scene with daylightsystem-vraysun-defaultvraysky-defaultlinearmultiplycolourmapping-maxcamera.

vraysun in june 1pm, i gave multiplier about 2.5...so it has a realistic brightness.

first...if i change to daylightsystem 8pm in southgermany the lightsituation that renders is much too dark...

second... my shadow areas at 1pm are nearly black...i have to screw up the multiplier of the vraysun, that the sky is getting brighter, and the shadows become brighter...(alternatively i set the sky to manualsunnode, pick the sunnode and screw the multiplier up in the vraysky...)

    thanks a lot for help

I don't know much about the daylight part of your question.
But concerning the vraysun+sky, I have found that it is much, much easier to manage when using a vray physical camera rather than the standard max. You should try : basically you won't have to touch any of the sun or sky values anymore and only tweak your camera settings, thus dealing everything from one place.

Switching to the final version and using a Pyshical camera will certainly help you solve your problem. I'm so happy they fixed the Sun/Sky problem in the final build.

definitely check out the vrayphysicalcamera if you get a chance tho. life is so much easier now, just like theedge says.
