vrayDirt falloff and distribution - ?

guys, I remember that vraydirt had examples in the former vray help files, but now they are gone (or at least I can't find them..)

can someone explain to me theese settings? I know what they should do, but I don't understand why the range of the spinners is not 0-1.0 ? What units are theese options in?
