  • Strange render bugs in vray final

    hello guys,
weve got some weird issues in our recent project which i cannot seem to find the way to get rid off.
    can u please help us?
    here is the image

using vray final without the recent patch,
    pretty basic setup,
GI - IR (50/20 medium, DE) and LC (1500sub, 000.1size)
    color mapping reinhard,
all the options in color mapping checked apart from "affect colors"
ive also set the sun to be invisible as i thought it was doing the errors.

thank you very much for your help and suggestions

Hm, what you can try is to turn on photon-mapped caustics from the render scene dialog, but then disable the caustics from the sun specifically from the V-Ray Light properties and see if this helps.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

looks like you might have a raytrace material/map in your scene somewhere for the disco lights.
For the bright light patch it appears there is some overlapping geometry. Try setting your secondary ray bias to .01 and see if that clears it up.

What about AA setting. Wasn't there a post somewhere with more or less the same problems that could be solved with using Area AA?

The ribs in the sunshades look like they could be fixed by changing the sun angle(OK)...unlocking the highlight glossiness in the material for it, and setting it to 1(better)...or by adjusting the anisotropy, BRDF, and reflection settings to more closely mimic the properties of the intended material(best).
