  • Problem with glass

I doing some pieces of stained glass and I have a problem.

The pieces have a thickness, so I see the map on the both side of the object in transparency.

It result in an awfull blurry effect, or, if I increase the thickness, it looks like a stereo view.

I'm trying to make it likethe glass was tintes in the mass, bur I don't achieve it.

    Is someone can help me?

    Thanks.

      Hi,

The only way I can think of is to assign the stained glass material only to the front faces of the glass and assign plain, clear glass to the sides and back faces. So effectively you would have a MSO material with 2 sub materials, one the coloured glass and one clear glass. When you think about it that's how stained glass is made, the image is painted on one side of the glass.

I did it, it's the only one solution I've found.

But what I need is not a painted glass, it's a glass fully tinted in the mass. (if it's not the right way to say it in english, I apologize)

        Thanks.
