  • Vray crash on Win XP 64

I have a scene with heavy displacements and glossies but not extreme. I want to render at 3500x2100 px.

First i've tried to render under win xp 32 bit, but it was imposible because the continuous crashing. I have 4 Gb and a dual core xeon, i though this was caused by XP32 memory limit then i tried to render under windows xp 64. I installed it with a multiple boot in my machine.

But now, i'm having the same crashes i has in win XP 32 bit.

    In my vraylog.txt:
"error: UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: Rendering region (896,1280)-(1024,140"

What can i do to render this scene?

without seeing more settings, materials, etc, all I can suggest is to try dynamic memory, set around 2 GB
also try to render out to vrimg with no frame buffers at all.
    good luck

Are you also using the 64-bit version of 3ds Max/V-Ray? Also, which version of V-Ray more exactly?

      Best regards,

Ok, in that case like voltron suggested, try increasing the dynamic memory limit, and/or rendering directly to a .vrimg file.
