Different render results ?

Hello friends !

We do have a street, with white street lines on it and Ido use about 50 machines on our render farm.

strange thing: some computers do render the white lines, some don't. (see the red circle)



Any ideas what could be the problem ?

yep...that s most definately an AA issue me thinks!

I use the standard catmul settings.... not good enough ?

it s a sharpener filter wich can eventually cause other problems, but in this case it s the setings wich might not be enough to sample that line since it occurs in a small pixel range...so id try to increase ur aa settings to fix it

ok, but even if the AA settings are low, shouldn't every computer render the same image ?

I mean, if the settings are low, and I do have 200 computers, every computer should render me the same result. with or without AA .....

i thought they were diferent frames from a movie
if they arent, well yes i suppose they should!

If it is the same frame, then it would be the same result from all machines (but why do you have 200 machines rendering the same frame)?

Anyways, it would be best if you can send me the road portion of the scene so that I can take a look at what may be wrong.

ok, I made another test, and you were right.
Every computer rendered the same result.... I was really confused...

and I also I wanted to know if it's really the AA, so I tested it again.

and yes, it really was, I increased the clr tresh and fixed it.
