  • Affect Diffuse

    Guys....(n Gals!!)

A couple of queries using vray light to illuminate internal spaces.

    1. What does the 'Affect Diffuse' control?

    2. What does the 'Store with irradiance map' control?

    3. What does the 'No decay' option do?

    4. What does the 'Ignore light normals' control?

    Also,
I have a glass attrium space which Im looking out of from inside. I have created a viz direct light but cant get the shadows to cast into the space internally. i.e. it look like the glass is blocking out the rays into the space. Would turning off the'Affect Diffuse' control sort this out??.......having a bit of a blonde moment today

    Any one any ideas??

    Cheers

For the glass problem, you need to enable the "Affect shadows" option for the respective VRayMtl; for the VRayLight parameters, all of them are described in the V-Ray help index here: http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/150SP1/light_params.htm

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.
