  • glass problem?

    Hi.

I have a problem with an interior scene.

This is what i see without any glass. Reflections seems to be good.

    This is with the glass.

Glass material is very basic. Anyone can understand what is happening?

    Thanks in advance.

You need to increase the max depths of your reflections and/or refractions on the chrome or glass mats

        1.5 - SP1 - but i've got the same with older versions

To Rerender. Thanks... i will try this. I was thinking something similar. I tried only to increase the glass...

Now depth are all 20... different, but not good.

I don't want to think how rendertimes will be on the final render....

          any ideas..

Hmm, thought for sure that would do it.

Do you have interpolated glossies on the chrome parts? Haven't change the cut off thresholds?

              Hi.

No interpolated glossies here. I tried lately also with cutoff (lowered to 0,001)... without any visible change.

I'm really confused... seems really the glass is "eating" reflections.... actually i hope i'm forgetting something...

                        Hi Mark,

I cant reproduce the same with the file you sent? are you sure you are using the latest vray? when i load the scene it warns me that this scene was created in an older version of vray.... when i render, it renders fine...

                          I will try again.

I tried at home also with an older version, from where i have sent that file. This is why u got the message.

Here at office i have the latest, but now is still render another room. Strange because i've got the same problem when rendered with 1.50.RCX months ago

                          Thanks again.
