  • V-Ray running on one processor only

    Hi all;

    This is probably a no-brainer, but I can't seem to get VRay running on all processors. I have multithreaded switched on in the Max prefs. But it only renders on 1 out of 8 processors.

    Vray Adv 1.5 sp1 - Max 2008
    4 Xeon X5355@266Mhz hyperthreaded

    Cheers

    Open your task manager in the OS ... do you see 8?

        got it sorted. a prankster of a collegue had clicked off 7 processors in my affinity tab.

            mine sometimes does this anyway without anyone messing with affinity settings - i've posted about it before. happened on my old machine too...

            only on this machine i can't change the affinity settings for max... fixed by re-starting but can be very very annoying.
