  • Weird rendering with bumpmapping.

    Hello guys,

I wanted to ask a question on behalve of a friend of mine... He is rendering an image and came across this problem (see image) with the bumpmapping on the walls.... It's only when he renders it on high resolutions like 3500x 2200 etc. When he renders a preview render it goes away.

Also i think he pushes the bumpmapping quite high like 100 or 150... I do not know his settings although i think he also tried it out with the settigs on high and medium and the problem still exists.

The problem is mostly around windows for some reason.

I was wondering if any of you know this problem or what causes it.

    Hope you can help us.

    Greetings,

    Niels Sinke

You could try lowering the filtering and/or switching it to summed area or use VRayBMPFilter and see if that helps.

If you are not using V-Ray 1.5 SP1, please update to the service pack and see if it goes away.

      Best regards,
