Making a lightbulb

hello everyone

i have no clue how to make a lightbulb with vray .. i tried with id and lens effects .. video post .. but it didnt work .. and i made a reflectible lightbulb with a light inside and a vray light material metal tip ... the effect wasnt convincing ..

i dont know if you guys have the answer

I would say you will need post work to get the proper "glow" from the light. You should be able to model and texture a realistic light in the off state, but to get that proper look when its on you will need some post work.
Is it for a single frame or an animation?

Should we use the simple standard max render element. Or again some AE post prod?
