  • Offset buckets

I'm getting an odd problem with a distributes render where some of the buckets are slightly in the wrong place. All maps are seen correctly, so it shouldn't be a mapping issue. Any ideas? This is driving me mad. We are rendering to about 4000x3000 pixels and saving as a vrimg file

Sometimes this may happen if, on the render slave, parts of a previous V-Ray installation have remained (in particular, cgauth.dll) or if there is a mismatch in the version of V-Ray and the license server. If you are sure that all this is correct, please email me to vlado@chaosgroup.com to solve the issue.

We do not use 'increment on save' in preferences. 99% sure all installations are the same. Will check - is the easiest way to just reinstall vray 'over the top' on each machine? (server/render machines/workstations)

Yep, just to make sure, delete vray90.dll and cgauth90.dll in the root folder of 3ds Max and then re-install V-Ray.
