Override Exclude - groups within groups do not work

Title pretty much says it all. I like to use the override material to begin, and then slowly work my way through objects, adding them to override exclude as I work on materials. I just noticed that if a group is in another group, the exclude doesn't work and it receives the override material.

Do you have some simple scene that you can send to me at vlado@chaosgroup.com so that I can reproduce and fix this?
