vray on max 9 and 2008

I am having problems installing vray 1.5 sp1 on max9 and 2008 on the same computer. It tells me to first uninstall a previous version and so I lose either max 9 or 2008 install. is there a way?

There is a separate installer for 3ds Max 9 and 2008, so you can just try to install the relevant one.

depending on your system, you might want to make sure both installations are installed in different folders. (For both max, which is logical, and vray)

thanks. I have tried all this with different installers but it still want to uninstall the previous install befor I can install the new one... this is windows vista ultimate 64bit.

I think I solved it. dit it all from scratch, now it works

or not. The files are there and in the right directory but on start up max cant find the additional, vray plug-ins. we sre two here in the office having the same problem.
