  • Site plan image

For my standard 3D Site Plans, I usually utilize an aerial image underneath my site plan. The problem is that the vray sun usually washes out this image. What are my options to get this image to look like the original bitmap? Do I exclude it from the sun, and put another light in, or do I do something to the bitmap or in the material editor.

    Thanx all

I would suggest going to the rgb output in the material rollout and lowering that value..making the bitmap darker and compensating for the high value of the sun.

I usually go to the elements properties and remove from shadows and cast shadow. Then I go to v-ray properties and remove from visible to GI. I drop the map into a vraylighmtl. I'll try your method. It seems a lot easier then mine.
