  • Transforming vertices very long...

    Hello,

I open an old scene, archviz, more than 8500 objects (Max 9 64bits + Vray 1.5RC4 Final).

I've done some heavy modifications and I start working on the rendering part and I've got very very long time with transforming vertices... (Max 2008 64Bits and 1.5 sp1

More than 10 min... and 10 more minutes from the rendering end and max return...
With the old version, I never had this problem with similar scenes...

Please help me... I'm with a friday evening problem... And I need to solve him before monday

    Best regards...

    try collapsing all modifiers.
    Try applying an override material.
Try rendering parts of the scene to narrow down what object/objecs are causing this.
If there are any vraydispalcement mods try disabling displacement.

      Hello,

      No displacement, no modifiers...
I try the override mat. but no change...

I'll try to isolate part of the scene, but as I say, I never had this problem before with very very similar scene.

      Best regards...

you might wanna try merging the scene into a blank one. Sometimes Scenes tend to bloat for no appearent reason :/

this is also true. Also resetting vray render settings to scanline then back to vray could help as well...

Importing all stuff in a new scene solve the problem...

Changing to scanline than going back to vray solve the problem too....

Thanks you very much guys... You save my week end

                Best regards...

yeah...I think when crossing versions of vray, and the further the distance between the versions, the worse the crossing will be. In this case I thought that the dynamic/static memory and or bsp parameters could have been corrupted.
