specular noisy things?

  • specular noisy things?

    I am getting these sepcular noisy reflections in my materials. it's happenign with materials that have high ammounts of reflections in them. does anybody have a suggestion on how to fix? In addiiton I am gettitng some long render times. any suggestions to make better use of my seetings

    I am using vray 1.5sp1

    The images are rather small.

    Do you need the depth of field and motion blur on the cameras? That might slow things up. The DMC image sampler max subs I usually leave at 4. In the Color Mapping turning on the Sub-pixel mapping might help. The Irradiance map HSph. subdivs should probably be left at default 50, 20 seems low. The Catmull Rom sharpening filter might make noise more apparent also.

      I believe checking "sub-pixel mapping" and "Clamp output" under ColorMapping should fix the spots.

        checking "sub-pixel mapping" ON can solve your problem.

          And what are the pros an cons by using clamp out and sub pixel mapping ? when i use it I always recevie a warning in the vray dialog so I always prefer not to use it.
