Dirtmap pass

Hi,

I've done this before but can't remember or find a solution - bad day today!

I need an AO pass using the dirtmap. I know how to set up the map inside a fully self illuminated standard material, but cant remember the lighting setup. Lights on or off, GI on or off.................arghhhhh!

Please help with an idiots guide!

dirt map distribution set to one.

Override material. turn off lights, GI, reflections, and glossys.

that should be it.

make sure you have exposure control/colour mapping off or default

oh and make sure you turn your subdivs up

Get just a white scene.................must be doing something wrong!

Seems there is no dirt....................you can just make out the building in grey!

Have it working now using a vraylight material instead of the standard.

You know, theres a plugin that does this with no change in set up.

It does dirt map and sky dome AO.

You beat me to the punch... I use this little script all the time. It doesn't show shadows, but I use it in post.
