  • vray hdri not visible through glass

    Hi Guys,

Strange problem. I have a vray hdri in the environmental slot. I have the vray sky in both the enviro override slots.

If I am looking out the window of the building I have modelled through a glass material I have created, I cannot see the vray hdri. Yet, if I hide the glass object or move it down, I can see the hdri.

    Whats going on ?

Maybe I misunderstand your post, but...do you have the HDRI in the reflect refract environment override slot? If not I'm pretty sure your window will refract the VRay sky described not the background HDRI.

Yeah of course. That makes sense. For some reason I was thinking it was just a reflection override.
