  • splotchy light circles

I had this happen for and always the fix has been to adjust the IR settings. when I render this out at 1500 pixels wide it renderings fine and crisp. when I render it at 3000 pixels I get these splotchy crips circles of light. If I render the IR at the "very low " setting it works fine but I loose overall quality. when I render on med and try to bump up the settings it gets worse. here's the image. I have been trying to fix this for days and I am so frustrated. Please help

Try to set the V-Ray sun to "Invisible" and see if they go away.

I get this problem sometimes if there is standard materials in the scene. Make sure all your materials are VRay materials.

Nice area by the way. Would have liked to work on that project

have had the same problem recently
            never figured it out
it was a sun sky exterior animation with no other lights (i.e sphere plane dome ies/standard)
They didnt move with the camera or flicker so I thought there were an error in the object or material. I remade objects where the splotches appeared and remade their materials but they were still there.
In the end there weren't too many and they were not so obvious for the animation so I just ignored them
Hope you figure it out as I didnt have time on that project but am curious to know what it was

You're using Vray Sky right? Switch the 'sun size multiplier' from 1.0 to 0.1.

I kept getting these all the time on my models as soon as I added glass into them. Took a while to figure it out as it obviously appeared to be a problem with my glass material but got it in the end.

This is the same as making the sun invisible
