  • white infinite vray plane, material wrapper and bad shadows

    Hi guys,

Im working on a white studio environment for a couple of cars. I need a white plane ( a vray plane) to be a constant white until infinitey. I use a vray plane, vray material wrapper with a white vray base material. I check matt surface in the material properties and shadows, but get really nasty shadows.

If I just use a normal white plane the shadows are fine, but the plane darkens as it gets further from the camera.

    Any ideas ?

    Cheers

Have you selected the "Shadows" and "Affect alpha" options for the matte properties of the plane? Looks like you also need some more subdivs for the shadows.

    Best regards,

So I have to make sure the wrapper object and the vray plane object properties both have matt surface and affect shadow, affect alpha on ?

Just the ones you are using - in your case, the parameters of the wrapper material.
