    Just to clarify, adding the light portals won't speed it up. In fact I think they'll take longer and possibly increase the amount of noise from the lights but what they will do is give you a much better GI solution than just using the self-illuminated material. Try it both ways and see how it works for you.

      Well, I had to increase the Adaptive DMC to 1-32 and decrease the DMC noise threshold to .001 to get smooth noise free AA solution. It's taking a long time to render, but it's looking good. The GI looks ok, it's a bit splotchy.... IR set to High Preset and the subdivs set to 100 Hem and 50 Interp. Then a lightcache set to 1500. Oh and I also set all the vray lights to 16 subdivs.... man!!!!

      This scene has been very difficult....
