  • VrayFur Crash

I apply VrayFur to object. Everytime it crashes on "compiling geometry" The object was imported from elsewhere (Rhino) as both dwg (standard workflow) and iges.

PS- Works fine on native Max sphere and plane.

    Thanks,

    T

What is the memory usage when it crashes?

It instantaneously freezes. Ram doesn't budge, only using 1gb with 3 gb left. Vray Raycaster params at default. Win XP x86, Max 9 SP2, Vray SP2. Same scene VrayFur on plane = fine.

      Thanks for the help.

Hmm, not sure hat it might be. First is the mesh in decent shape? Any double faces? Are the verts welded?

It is not a good idea to apply VRayFur on objects with large faces, you could try subdividing the base geometry a little bit and see if it helps.
