I am not sure if this has been reported or if it is just my issue, but I can't have my material editor open with my v-ray frame buffer. If my material editor is open I have to bring my material editor on top to see the vfb, but if I pick off the material editor to pick my vfb my vfb disappears. Not a big deal, but annoying. I just make sure my material editor is closed before I render so I can use my VFB.

We too have this problem and it's very annoying! Is there a fix?

Does it happen on earlier versions of 3ds Max on the same machine?

      Best regards,

Ok, so may be something new in 3ds Max 2009 then. I'll have to check it out.

          Best regards,
          Vlado
