  • PFlow / VRay Displ.

    Hi all,
i know i've asked it already while ago. but i still have the problem that i can't use Vray displacement with PFlow.
its really a pity. the standard mat-based displacement is a pain. and i need displ...
i've try'd it with mesher but no luck.
    any ideas?

    best regards

i need particles, with Vray-displacement on each. i'am using an instanced object with vray displ. mod. but pf want render it.

You could try to use Mesher and then apply the displacement modifier on that.

Hm, really, can you send me the scene for this to vlado@chaosgroup.com to investigate?

            Best regards,

Heya Jonas - if there's nothing born within the scene could you bake the motion to nulls and parent the objects to it? I've a few tools to do that for dealing with heavy instancing - they don't handle particles being born admittedly but if that isn't an issue it might sort you out.

ey mate. i hoped that you would answer.
unfortunately i have around 500 particles wich are born in a sequence of 200 frames.
but maybe i can restructure it, that they are born already and hided somewhere.
i'll look into it. thanks man

I probably won't be getting around to it soon but it's something I have to handle eventually using visibility keys or similar - I'll give you a shout once it's behaving
