Hi all,
I spent all day working on this, also searching the forums.
Basically my problem is, if I instance a plant mesh 2000 times, I can render fine.
If I instance the same plant using PFLOW, even with one mesh per particle, VRay runs out of memory after 100 instances...
It must be that PFLOW does not really really instance the particle, otherwise there should be much difference.
However, the operator "Shape Instance" (in PFlow) is supposed to create instances, is it not? it should be the same as duplicating a bunch of objects using "Instance"...
I like Pflow becuase the distribution is parametric...and also I can use maps to distribute landscape, but it just seems to take too much memory.
I am using vray SP2, MAX9 SP2 on Vista 32, 3 gig Ram.
Thank you
regards
gio
