  • OpenExr - split scanline?

I tried to render out an openexr file today for the first time, with all the passes included. I split scanlined it, and the result - one exr file that I couldn't open in AE or PS.

I read that to render out an openexr you just rename the vryimg file to exr and it should open. As usual, i'm probably being obtuse!

If you want to render an openexr file, do you not save a file from the normal max save file as on the main render dialog, but instead use the "save raw vray image" bit?

you cannot rename the vrimg. it has to be converted to an exr file to open it with ps etc..
but you can use the vray image-converter under programs > chaosgroup > tools.

    regards!

to add, you change the file type in the vfb save path.
