  • Bright GI dots

I am getting bright dots, which seem to be GI related.

What is the first thing i should check? It doesn't go away with sub-pixel and clamp output.

    RGB

    GI element

reflection (ignore the missing patch, i'm trying to figure out whats wrong with the reflections down there)

    Hello again

Check your scene for non-vray materials and check 'invisible' for your vraysun

all the bright spots appear to be on the right side of the 'ribs' of the heater. Is it reflecting a light/window or 'leak' in your scene on the right?

I fooled around with a lot of different things (color mapping, AA, GI setting) and i think that increasing the inerp samples might have helped.

Although, im not entirely sure if i changed them at all. They were set to 15, but my global subd multiplier was set to 2. When i changed it to 30 and lowered the global mult. to 1, it.. changed.

There are no light leaks o the right, but the bed cloth material was not a double sided material. Changing it to dbl sided may have helped.

Even if there were leaks, it had nothing to do with reflection right, since it's not seen in the reflection channel?

Try enabling Sub-pixel mapping and Clamp output in your Color mapping rollout.

Change your sun to "invisible". Worked for me when I had similar problems.
