  • VFB Color Correction not burned into vrimg?

    Hi Guys,

    Here's the scenario:

I rendered an image using VRay VFB, but I dont really like the output so I tweak the image using Curve, by turning on "Use Colors Curve Correction" in VFB.

    But ...

In some cases (such as heavy and huge resolution), I have to output the image straight to VRIMG and disable "Render to Memory Frame Buffer".

So when the render finished and I open the VRIMG, the curve adjustment is not burned into the VRIMG.

Is there anyway that the Curve Adjustment can be burned into VRIMG?
If it's not possible, how do I re-apply the curve to the rendered VRIMG image? Coz when I load VRIMG using View File, it will automatically loaded using Max Frame Buffer and I dont have Curve Adjustment there ...

    Thanks

You could use a little hack with the render history option of the VFB; first you need to enable the VFB history and save some files there; then just overwrite one of these files with your original .vrimg file. Then loading this file through the render history panel will show it in the V-Ray VFB where you can apply the curves.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

This should work when saving through the VFB.
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

peter could you explain me how to do it? I´m trying to render an animation applying the denoise tool after that. The only way the denoise tool works for me is writing the files on vrimg format, but no matter what I do, it allways write linear, and it forgets about VFB corrections. hopefully you can clear me out the proper workflow.

As I said it's possible when saving through the VFB itself -

You are saving an animation through the raw image output, where we don't apply any of the corrections made in the VFB before saving.

so, how can I overcome this? what´s the proper workflow to save the file when using backburner and the denoising tool?

For now you can't burn VFB CC when rendering an animation and saving to a raw image format, we will add an option for your case. Sorry for the inconvenience.
