  • Backburner Vray Server not showing

I currently have a problem with two of my desktop workstations. I have 3ds Max 2009 SP1 x64 & V-Ray Adv 1.5.SP2 on both machines. We typically add these machines to backburner as servers overnight. We have another desktop with same spec that gets added also but so far no problems related to the others. The problem is that if one of the aformentioned computers is added the other desktop gets booted and vice versa. This has never happend until we upgraded to 2009. The Autodesk tech staff says this is a V-Ray related problem Our manager is a 32 bit machine that is not a slave. Its task is nothing but to manage backburner. Please help-we're stuck and our desktops are our best machines, at least we still have our farm.

Well, to see if it is a V-Ray issue (which I doubt), simply remove V-Ray from those machines and try to run a regular scanline job and see if that goes through.

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.
