vray message: scene bounding box is too large

i get the warning in the vray messages: scene bounding box is too large, possible raycast error.
what does this mean?

It can happen if your scene is too large in generic units (e.g. larger than 100,000 units). That means that small objects in the distance might not be rendered properly. However, in the majority of cases (e.g. when you only have a large ground plane), this is not a problem really.
