  • VFB vs. MFB

I have noticed that the VrayFrameBuffer is slower while rendering than the MaxFrameBuffer!?

    MFB: 9 sec.
    VFB: 19sec

scene: box as floor, box above, and a targetspot with vrayshadows (area)
    IR /LC @ 640 x 480 px without AA

    anybody an idea?

    best regards

I can't say I've noticed it, but even so, it should be a constant difference (e.g. 10 seconds no matter what you are actually rendering).

What operating system are you on?

    Best regards,
    Vlado

could it be due to the fact that 3ds max buffer does not support true float?

          I think you're right...

It's the same think as switching on the clamp output... Vray render sighly faster...

          But float is better

          Best regards...
