  • Strange vraymaterial override material behaviour

I'm not sure if this is to be expected or not, but having a material with overridematerial on : matte surface, affect alpha, generate/receive GI all enabled, but shadows disabled, the reflection disappears. With shadows switched on, the reflection becomes visible again.
I want to disable shadows but retain reflections. Is this possible?

It should be possible; I can't think of a reason why it should not work... can you post an image or the set up of the override material?

    Best regards,

      Sure,
Go to the materail on the table legs and switch off shadows, and as you can see, the reflections disappear. No doubt I'm making some fundamental mistake in the setup of my material/properties!

      Here's the images :-
