  • GI Environment Multiplier Issue?

    Hallo,

    I have this problem with VRay SP2 on 3d Studio Max 9 SP2 x64

When using an image for the GI Environment slot of VRay the Multiplier doesn't effect the lighting... no matter what value i input in it it is rendering as if it was value 1 all the time. not using an image it works like it should.

Is this a know issue? or something I'm doing wrong... i didn't need to play with this value for a long time so i didn't notice this problem till now.

    Thanks

It has always been this way; the multiplier only affects the color. If you need to boost the environment map, you can use its own settings for this (e.g. RGB level).

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

      Really?!?

This issue came up while i was going over this tutorial by neoscape artist Hao La at The Area
      http://area.autodesk.com/index.php/t...ight_lighting/

He uses Multiplier 7 with an image in the slot ?!?! I'm confused now

but hey - you made the software, I'll do what you suggested with the RGB levels.

      Thanks for the quick response!
