  • Network Render Frame Hangs?

Im having an issue and Im wondering if anyone is has ran into this problem.

We render a sequence on our render farm, and 1 or 2 frames will get "stuck" and will seem to never finish rendering. Sometimes, they just take 5 times longer, sometimes they never finish. All the servers are identical and the frame it happens on is always different.

If the image was stuck on the last bucket, closing the server would somehow tell backburner it finished and sure enough, the frame is there.

How many machines do you have? Is the network stressed a lot? I've seen this in an environment where network connections happen very slowly.

    Which server do you close?

    Best regards,
