  • render elements and opacity maps

i try to get a mask of the transparent parts of a fence. i just found out that mmre do not work with opacity maps. so i am looking for a workaround to achieve masks for objects like the fence in the image.
i try it now with scanline + render elemets - but again i get only a mask of the object of the fence without consideration of the transparent parts.

my working but timeconsuming workaround is to hide everything and only to render the fence. the alpha then is correct. but after this i have to substract the fence then from all relatet masks in ps.
i hope someone knows a better way to do this.

As of SP3 MMRE works with opacity mapped objects As an even nicer sidenote it also works behind refractive objects
