  • Network rendering error

After installing SP3, I get the following error: Vray could not obtain a license (10060). I'm using Max Design 2009 64-bit, Backburner 2008.1. I've made sure all the machines have the same versions and updates. I can send jobs using scanline rendering to the remote machines and they work fine. I can set my workstation up as a Backburner Server (which is the machine with the WIBU dongle) and that works too.
And yes, the IP address is correctly pointed from the render machines back to my workstation in the VRay client license settings. I'm lost.

Got it. What happened was when I installed SP3 on my workstation, it asked if I wanted to install the new WIBU drivers, so I said yes. For some reason, I guess the old drivers didn't un-install properly and it wasn't until I disabled VRay to run as a service, reboot and un-install the WIBU drivers and VRay, reboot and install everything again did it work.

I found that the part of the installation to just install license server will want to un-install VRay, and then you'll need to re-install it. Not sure why that is.

      Thanks, much appreciated.
