Fail to initialize proxy object

When I bring a max file from work to my home workstation, the pc at home will not render the proxies in the max file from work. The directory structure is exactly the same and yes...I have the proxy files on my home machine as well. What am I doing wrong?

All renders fine at work.

Does it work if you retarget the proxy paths using the Asset Tracker?

do you mean the asset browser in max under the utility tab.
I am using max 9.

I did just go to the file/asset tracking. I stripped the path and re-mapped it.
The xyz gizmo is there (as it has been) for each proxy but still does not preview or render.

try pressing "h" and selecting the proxy from the list.
then, look at the modify rollout and try to browse for it all over again from there...hth
