  • particle flow_motion blur

    Hi there,

I know the issue of using motion blur with particle flow has been brought up before. The thing here is that I had motion blur working fine with particle flow for some time. I then needed to reduce the motion blur amount, so I reduced the duration (frames) from 1 to 0.5 and now whenever I render I get an unhandled exception. How can I render with motion blur on at one point without errors (I have renders to prove it if you dont believe me) and then suddenly I get unhandled exception errors thrown by vray. Ive tried changing the duration back to 1 and still get errors....

    Any ideas ?!
    Regards

If you are using instanced particles, hiding the original source mesh usually helps.

I just thought Id report my findings. I know that it was working fine at some point so I decided to reset everything in vray to default by selecting scanline renderer and then back to vray renderer. Turn on motion blur and hey presto it works. I then turned on dynamic memory and it comes up with that error. Back to auto memory and it works fine....is that a bug ?

I just rendered a piece with object motion blur and it worked just fine with sp3.

What are your settings? did you recently change versions?

Sorry, I did not notice your second post about the dynamic versus auto memory so all of what I was thinking is probably moot.

BTW I too get a crash when set to dynamic, Static and Auto are fine.
