  • Aligning bitmap with displaced geometry

I have an area of paving that I am displacing with 2D displacement using a Bercon Tile map in the Texmap slot. I am using the same Bercon 'layout' map in the diffuse channel, but have textures in for the tile and joint slots of the Bercon map. When I render, the maps don't seem to align properly with the displaced geometry - at least I think that's what it is anyway: some of the joints are 'filled in'.

I have read a note that talks about using explicit mapping to get things to align. Could anyone explain this a little more? I'm effectively using Real World Mapping for my textures.
    Kind Regards,

I'm spending a bit of time trying to get displacement working well on an area of paving. Is anyone able to give me some pointers on how to get the textures to align properly with the displaced geometry? I'm finding it tricky to work out from the limited info in the help files which talks about explicit mapping and objectXYZ/worldXYZ mapping.

    I'm confused.

    ...mmmm....scrap this. Think I've sussed it....fingers crossed...
