  • Adding nodes to network fails

    Hi

I have been using A workstation + a slave for rendering (with Vray 1.5 SP2)

I added 2 nodes but some problems arose:

If I render with any one of them - they are working but If I try rendering using them all - they all return "rendering hosr 10.0.0.x not responding.

I checked and "ping" works for all and from all.
I registered the vrlservices (server) on nodes.

I ran BackBurner and rendered a frame (disabling DR)

When I manage to render with one of the new nodes - I get buckets rendering as if not seeing the maps (all maps are UNC)

when rendering the swith LED activity seems to be working OK.

Can Someone help or send me to a relaible tutorial.

(all pcs are 4 gigs RAM and WinXP Pro 64 Quad Cores)

try entering the IP adress instead of the hostname in the servers' settings.

This is a double post nirsul, and not really a vray problem, but a network issue.
Can you keep the the original post as you are more likely to get a response.

I would have moved the post but only a moderator can.
        - I was hoping someone from Chaos would answer.

Actually I checked the network with the support guy and it seems to be a vray problem as all my IPs and network settings are OK.

I understand, there are no moderators on the forum anymore.
But to solve a problem that we can't physically see to fix, is very difficult.
