  • MultiMatte RE not working with VraySphereFade active.

    We recently upgraded to 1.5 SP3a and have found that the Multimatte render element is no longer working when the VraySphereFade is active. We rely very heavily on this feature to wihtin our rendering/compositing pipeline.

    Is this a bug? any ideas or workarounds?

    Hey Vlado,

    Any ideas/thoughts on this issue, can you reproduce on your end? It's preventing our migration to SP3. We have rolled our entire farm back to SP2 until this gets sorted.

      I can reproduce this, yes. I see why it happens, but I haven't had a chance to think for a fix yet. Hopefully I'll get there in the next days.

        Hey Vlado,

        Do you have a rough eta on a fix for this, we are about to start a new project and would like to migrate to SP3 beforehand.

          In an official release, probably not very soon. I might able to give you patch for this though.

              Hey Vlado,

              We are about to hit production on a new project (this week), and are looking at using vector displacement. Unfortunately we can move over until the Multimatte issue is fixed. So I'm wondering if there is any way we can get that patch for the current build.

              This current project present a great opportunity to explore the many new features. We would be extremely grateful for any assistance you can provide.
