Curtains material - translucency

I can't get my curtains to be translucent. When sun hits them from behind. This way they look heavy. I use gray for refraction, matte refr. on 0.6 and translucent mode - wax. Should I do anything different?

Have you tried using a VRay 2 sided material?

Hm tried making my material a double sided, but it's the same. Just thought there was something obvious that everyone misses...am kinda in a hurry. Will have to test it more later.

I think I see what they are saying. They aren't using the translucency option at all, but only two sided material! I'll try that.
