vray light mesh displaces mesh

I'm trying to assign vray light mesh to an object. When i pick the object, it gets horribly displaced. How do i fix this?

displaced as in moved ? if so tick "replace mesh with light"

Still the same.If i say "replace mesh with light" it deletes my mesh and moves it. If i untick that, it does the same thing but at least i have the mesh to align the light to... but its still bad.

It seems that if i move the light object to 0,0,n it gets aligned. Still have to move it in Z though.

When you pick the mesh you have to be in the "Modify" mode of the command panel; if you are still in the "Create" mode, the light will not be aligned properly.
