  • Volume fog problem

I'm trying to create a standard target light in max with volume fog effect and a mask in the map channel. I've done it many times using the default buffer but it doesn't seem to work with the Vray buffer. I've tried changing the settings but nothing's working. Here's what I'm trying to achieve:

    Anyone got any suggestions?

There should be no difference for atmospheric effects whether the rendering goes to the 3ds Max frame buffer or the V-Ray one. In any case, you can try turning off the V-Ray VFB and see if you get it to work.

      Thanks Vlado

I bow down to your greatness......something like that.
I've tried running it through the default buffer but no good! It must be something I'm doing wrong-I'll find it.

      Thanks for the message anyhow.
