  • Problems with burnout

    Hi guys,

I've been doing an interior with a vray sun and sky as the only lights sources. I wanted to increase the overall brightness of the image but am not sure how to do this without the white burnout where the sun hits (see attached rendering).

I've toyed around with the sun multiplier, the vrayphysical camera settings and the v-ray color-mapping (exponential) but haven't managed to find a balance. Ideally I would like the image to be as bright as it is now, but without the major burnout in some areas.

    Thanks for your time!

    Anders

try reinhard in colour mapping and play with the burn value.

Try darkening the image until there is no burnout, then in the V-Ray render setup settings, in the V-Ray tab, V-Ray:: Environment, activate the GI Environment (skylight) override and raise the multiplier to increase the overall brightness to where you want it.

The image could also be brightened in post using Photoshop.
