  • Help for V-Ray DR spawner

    HERE I GO USE A DUAL-CORE AMD OPTERON. INTO 2 NO'S. (A B)

    FOR VRAY
    1. THE SYSTEM "A" WHICH HAS THE DONGLE RENDERS WITH 8 BUCKETS.
    2. THE SYSTEM "B" RENDERS WITH ONLY 4 BUCKETS DURING V-Ray DR spawner.
    3. THE SYSTEM "B" RENDERS "MISSING THE MAPS". HOW TO GIVE THE PATHS?

    FOR VRAY RT
    1. VRAY RT WORKS FINE ON SYSTEM "A".
    2. HOW DO I USE SYSTEM "B" TO ALSO RENDER THE SAME FILE ON SYSTEM "A". LIKE
V-Ray DR spawner DOES IN VRAY.

    THANKS
    REGARDS
    SAVIO

With regards to the buckets, are both systems identical (8 cores)?

For the missing maps, make sure you store them in a place that is accessible to both machines. This means that you can either copy the maps locally in the same place on both machines, or use shared folders/UNC path names, or use mapped network drives for the textures.

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

well Valdo i am not sure about 8 cores.
but when i do a normal vray render without DR on i get 4 buckets.
when i on DR i get 8 buckets, but when i add the other server system in the V-Ray distributed rendering settings dialog box i get 12 buckets only.
should i not get 16 asking kindly.
both the systems are identical in processor.
only ram, display card and motherbord are different.
for my missing maps i copyed them in the 3ds max Maps directory and the problem was rectified. only would like to know if i want to have a differnt folder then how do i do it.

      thanks
      regards

for missing maps the solusion was that i had to run the dr manually.
if i started it as a windows service it cant find the maps.
          thanks
