error recieving DR scene

hi,
im having a problem with DR on a scene.
all the nodes will render once, then not work again until i restart the spawner on them.
this is happening with the dr spawner and running the service.
ive got "restart slaves on render end" ticked.

spawner log says "error recieving DR scene (0), closing DR session"
workstation says "Render host unknown (10.0.1.x) is not responding"
then bizarrely, "Ping not recieved from host 0.0.0.0 for xxxxx seconds"

restarting the spawner manually fixes the problem for 1 render.
im used to having to restart the spawner occasionally, but for some reason its every time on this scene.

any help would be appreciated.

Which 3ds Max version is this? Have you tried the option to restart the render servers after a rendering?

thanks for the reply.
im using max2009 design and vray sp3.
ive got the restart slaves option ticked, but it doesnt seem to help. maybe this is a permissions thing. (permissions seem to cause most of my problems)

IT made me a batch file to manually stop and start the dr services, which does work, but i still need to do it after every render.
